Questions answered. Life designed. Paths forward.

There are often BIG questions:

Why am I so discontent?

Why am I so bored?

Why can’t I make progress?

What is my purpose?

What Coaching is:

Coaching is a partnership. Together, the client and I discover where the client truly is, and then gain clarity around where he/she wants to go. We create a plan the client is excited about, and then collaborate around potential strategies needed to make progress. I provide encouragement, re-centering, and honest feedback. The result is energy around a direction, a plan, and a purpose.

Countless athletes, executives, business owners, and individuals use coaching to make progress, and attribute significant portions of their success to those coaching relationships.

Without Bob I have no shot at achieving the records I’ve achieved or winning the medals that I’ve won..

Michael Phelps on his coach, Bob Bowman

I absolutely believe that people, unless coached, will never achieve their maximum capabilities.

-Bob Nardelli, CEO Home Depot

Everyone needs a coach… We all need people to give us feedback. It’s how we improve.

-Bill Gates, Microsoft co-founder

What Coaching is not:

Coaching is not therapy or counseling. It is not designed to deal with trauma or solve old hurts or wounds. It is a forward-looking process where the coach helps the client gain clarity, and a plan to move toward a goal.

About Ed

“Every person needs an optimistic and judgement-free space where they can explore what they really want and need.”

Ed’s Professional Life:

I have always loved creating spaces where people know they belong, will be heard, and where they can truly be themselves.

I have worked with students and their families for over 25 years trying to do just that; as a middle school teacher and volleyball coach, student ministries director for a non-denominational church, a co-founder of an adolescent-focused, mental-health non-profit, and now a professionally trained coach.

I have always found incredible joy in helping people arrive at lightbulb moments, helping them compassionately and honestly assess their lives, and then helping them plan a way forward. And while I am very comfortable in front of crowds, I love working one-on-one and in small groups, having conversations around life’s most important questions. I have been told that I have a warm demeanor, an optimistic and humor-filled approach to life, and that nothing ever seems to surprise me. All of those things combined have seemed to put people at ease.

In 2021 my career was in flux. The pandemic had changed my role, and everything was different. While I was working with my own coach considering and weighing what to do next, I realized that the coaching profession would be the perfect fit for my heart, experience, and skill set. A job where I continue to meet with people, help them, encourage them, and then walk with them as they moved forward? Sign me up.

Within a few months I had started coursework through the Professional Christian Coaching Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon completing that program, I founded North Life Coaching in March of 2022.

Ed’s Personal Life:

My wife, Jen, and I have been married for 24 years, and we have 2 teenage daughters. Our family loves adventure, camping, both the beach and the mountains, but most of all we love a road trip and a crystal-clear body of water. One of our scariest, but proudest, moments was the 4 of us moving into a van and taking a 60-day, 14,000 mile journey around the country. In the fall of 2020, during the height of the pandemic, we took the opportunity to travel by building a camper van and living in it for 2 months, seeing the U.S. We saw and experienced so much, visiting 18 national parks and 121 specific sites that the girls had picked out ahead of time. Taking that risk and making those memories is something we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

FREE INQUIRY CALL- Every potential partnership starts with a no-pressure conversation that allows the potential client to discuss the topic around which he/she wants to be coached, as well as make sure it feels like a good fit for both parties. If the client and I agree that we would like to move forward, we will discuss payment and scheduling.

Since coaching is built around authenticity and understanding, more interactions are always better. The process is all about building trust, a place where the client feels they can truly be themselves and explore what they really want. I recommend an initial 3-month/9-session period, but monthly and single-session agreements are also available.

  • SINGLE SESSION- $129
    • One 45-minute session
    • An optional follow up text or 5-minute check-in
  • 1 MONTH- This agreement is $350 and includes:
    • Welcome packet and pre-assessments
    • Three 45-minute sessions (by zoom, by phone, or in person- if time and distance allows) done three times over 30 days
    • An optional weekly, 5-minute check-in (phone call or text)
      • *At the end of the 1-month contract period, we will both evaluate and the client will determine if coaching should continue. The client then has the option to continue on a monthly basis for $375, or discontinue the partnership with no obligation. After three, consecutive “1 MONTH” contracts, the client has the option to continue on a monthly basis for $315.
  • 3 MONTHS– This agreement is $950 and includes:
    • The welcome packet and pre-assessments
    • Nine 45-minute sessions (by zoom, by phone, or in person- if time and distance allows) done three times a month
    • An optional weekly, 5-minute check-in (phone call or text)
      • *At the end of the 3-month contract period, we will both evaluate and the client will determine if coaching should continue. The client then has the option to continue with another 3-month contract, or on a monthly basis for $350, or discontinue the partnership with no obligation.
